YMCA Camp Alexander is intended to be a unique outdoor and group experience for children-one that is fun, safe, adventurous, educational and developmental. Children at Y Camp learn respect for others, make new friends, develop their abilities, improve their self-esteem and learn a respect for the natural environment.

• At the heart of camp is the small, close knit group of campers who together with their counselor plan and carry out a variety of activities for fun and personal development.
• Campers will build independence and self-confidence through opportunities to choose from a variety of exciting activities.
• Campers will form lasting friendships and feel safe and supported as the group pursues shared interests.
• Campers will mature, develop new skills and progress through programs as they return to Alexander year after year, experiencing innovative, age-appropriate challenges.
