Located just an hour north of Milwaukee, YMCA Camp Matawa is nestled in the heart of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and offers excellent summer and year round camp opportunities for children, families and groups of all ages and abilities.  Camp Matawa’s traditional summer camp experience provides a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of home through our dedication to quality programming, outstanding service and inclusion.  Camp staff are intentional in creating community and helping kids develop friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!  Whether you are climbing our 50 foot Alpine Tower, sleeping in our beautiful cabins or enjoying the warmth of a campfire, you are sure to experience the Spirit of Matawa!   Give us a call and find out what sets us apart! 

• Traditional 1 and 2 week sessions offered for kids 7-15
• Specialty camps include Equestrian, Soccer, Ropes, Fishing, and a Manufacturing camp at a local college campus.
• Exceptional teen leadership programs offered for kids 14-17
• Summer program activities include: arts & crafts, nature, sports, teambuilding, drama, music, climbing, outdoor living skills, canoeing, swimming, mountain biking, archery, and much more!
• Campers stay in very comfortable cabins with kids of the same gender and age.

All camp staff are certified in First Aid and CPR and participate in an extensive week long training focusing on various aspects of youth development such as safety, bullying prevention, skill development and role-modeling behaviors.
